We believe this is God’s plan for His church. Christians only grow in the context of fellowship. Our aim is to be as committed to one another as we are committed to Christ. Most believers don’t lack commitment, but oftentimes we are overly committed to the wrong things. Jesus had no problem asking people for a great commitment (Luke 14:33). He has committed to us the message of reconciliation (II Cor 5:19). So we ask members to totally commit ourselves to Christ, His Church and His Commission. A person must obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After hearing the Gospel (Rom 10:17) by faith this person must believe (Heb 11:6), repent of past sins (Acts 17:30), Confess Jesus to be Lord (Romans 10:9-10) and be baptized into Christ (Gal 3:27). This member then declares that he or she understands this congregation’s vision, strategy and structure. He or she publicly commits himself or herself to God and to the other members ( Rom 12:5).God expects us not only to be faithful but to be fruitful (John 15: 8) May God richly bless you!
